A compact but iconic Kenya itinerary combining classic African safari, views of Mount Kilimanjaro, and a relaxed Indian Ocean beach stay.

This route avoids unnecessary city time and focuses on wildlife, landscapes, and recovery by the sea.

Arrival – Nairobi (Transit Only)


Arrive in Nairobi.

Recommended approach:
• Stay near airport or Westlands
• Use hotel-arranged transfer
• No city wandering needed

Optional (only if time allows):
• Giraffe Centre
• David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage

This stop is mainly for logistics and rest.

Nairobi → Amboseli National Park


Transfer from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park.

How to get there:
• Safari lodge transfer (4–5 hours), or
• Short domestic flight + lodge pickup

Why Amboseli:
• Best views of Mount Kilimanjaro
• Large elephant herds
• Open landscapes with dramatic backdrops

Base:
• Safari lodge near or inside park
• 2–3 nights recommended

Amboseli → Nairobi → Coast


Return to Nairobi, then continue to the coast.

Options:
• Fly Nairobi → Mombasa
• Take the SGR train Nairobi → Mombasa (modern, safe, scenic)

From Mombasa:
• Transfer to Diani Beach (~1.5 hours)

This is a travel day.

Diani Beach (Indian Ocean)


Relax at Diani Beach.

Why Diani:
• Clean white-sand beaches
• Calm Indian Ocean waters
• Very relaxed and safe atmosphere

Activities:
• Beach time
• Snorkeling / diving
• Short boat trips
• Cafés and oceanfront walks

Base:
• Beach resort or boutique hotel
• 2–4 nights


Transportation

  • Safari transfers: organized by lodges (recommended)
  • Flights: Nairobi ↔ coast are reliable
  • SGR train: safe and comfortable Nairobi → Mombasa
  • Local taxis: use hotel-arranged transport
