Danang – Modern Hub, Beaches & Cafés


Danang is the main gateway to Central Vietnam and one of the most comfortable cities in the country.

Why Danang works well:
• International airport with good connections
• Clean, wide streets and modern infrastructure
• Long city beaches suitable for daily swimming
• Excellent café scene with high-quality Vietnamese coffee

Highlights:
• My Khe Beach – long sandy beach near the city
• Dragon Bridge – especially impressive at night
• Marble Mountains – caves, viewpoints, and temples
• Lady Buddha (Son Tra Peninsula) – panoramic views over the coast
• Ba Na Hills – cable car ride and the Golden Bridge

Recommended stay: 3–7 days.
Danang also works very well as a base for remote work or longer stays.

Hoi An – Ancient Town & Countryside


Hoi An is located just 30 minutes from Danang and offers a completely different atmosphere.

• An Hoi island and riverside walks

Hoi An is best enjoyed slowly, especially early mornings and evenings.

Hue – Imperial History & Pagodas


Hue was the former imperial capital of Vietnam and remains one of the country’s most important historical cities.

Getting there:
• Scenic train ride from Danang (highly recommended)
• Bus or private transfer

Highlights:
• Imperial Citadel – vast historic complex
• Royal tombs of Nguyen emperors
• Thien Mu Pagoda – iconic riverside temple
• Perfume River and surrounding countryside

Atmosphere:
• Calm, traditional, and less commercial
• Strong focus on history and heritage

After Hue:
• domestic airport;
• train to the north or south;
• return to Danang.

Recommended stay: 2–3 days.
Hue is ideal for travelers interested in Vietnamese history and culture.

Central Vietnam is highly seasonal.

Best time to visit:

  • March–August – warmer, sunnier, and best for beaches
  • April–June – especially good balance of weather and crowds

Less ideal period:

  • September–January – heavy rains, storms, and typhoons are common
